The Avondale 5K was created in 2010 to help fund The Charles Webb Center. The CWC is a developmental day care operated by the Disabilities Board of Charleston County, serving children with special needs from age 6 weeks to 10 years old.
Check out our latest A5K Race Video and share it with your friends!
Thanks to Little Bird Productions for putting it together for us.
The mission of Charles Webb is to aid in each child’s growth and development through an educational program, to develop each child’s sense of self-esteem, and to strengthen each child’s social, language and preschool skills. The Charles Webb Center focuses on the individual strengths of each child to maximize his or her learning in all areas of development.
All of the proceeds from the Avondale 5K race go directly to the Charles Webb Center to pay for classroom equipment, supplies, food, etc. Without the help of the A5K, Charles Webb would not be able to continue its service.
Please considering participating in this year’s Avondale 5K to support the CWC! To make a monetary donation, simply click here and you can donate online.
Thank you to all of our amazing sponsors! We appreciate all you have done to help make the Avondale 5K what it is today. Every penny of your donation helps the Charles Webb Center accomplish its mission of serving special needs children across the Charleston area.
